What the coach can do

• Explain a writing or grammar concept directly, including in your preferred language.
• Discuss your exact words, ask an open question, identify a reasoning or evidence gap, and suggest a revision strategy.
• Use a brief example on a different subject to explain a technique, while leaving your assignment to you.
• Extract text from a document you provide. Unclear text should stay unclear, rather than being invented.

What you decide and write

Your claims, interpretation of evidence, conclusions, and wording. The coach does not supply a thesis, paragraph, replacement sentence, translated submission, completed outline, poem or lyric for your task. A question should leave you a decision; it should not conceal a ready-made answer.

Start where you are

Short attempts, rough notes, questions, multilingual writing, dialect and assistive dictation are welcome. Draft feedback needs something to discuss; conceptual help can begin before a draft. Word count, sentence length and writing style do not establish who wrote a text. EssayArc does not certify authorship or accuse students of cheating.

Work with your PLF

You can question or decline AI feedback. Bring an important choice to your PLF, explain what you tried, and decide together what to practise next. Sharing remains your choice. Follow your course rules; stricter assignment restrictions take priority. An assignment’s no-AI setting disables Studio coaching, while you can still write and work with your PLF.

When coaching cannot help

Responses are checked before display. A failed check stops that response; it does not establish misconduct. Keep your draft, try a narrower question, or ask your PLF. Automated review can make mistakes, and these safeguards do not guarantee learning or perfect prevention.
